Troubadours (Self-Titled) 古くはビートルズ、９０年にはLa’sと伝説的バンドを輩出してきたリバプールよりまたまたすごいバンドの出現ですぞ！ V-Festival 2008、ポールウェラーUKツアーのオープニングアクトという大役をも勤め、ここ日本ではサマーソニックで日本発上陸を遂げた（奪われたハートは数知れず！）The Troubadours。彼らのファーストアルバムが日本先行発売となった。 代表曲のGimme Loveは傑作。爽やかで美しいイントロで心を摑まれちゃいます！心地よいサウンド＆メロディにうっとり。まるで涼しい秋風のよう。リピートして、何度でも聴いていたい中毒になりそうなキャッチーな楽曲です。 Superstitiousはコーラスワークがとってもキュート！ビーチボーイズっぽい青春ハーモニーがとても良い。Con Edisonはハーモニー、オーケストラと胸キュンメロディがうまく調和されたドラマチックなナンバー。哀愁漂い涙を誘う美しい１曲。 他にもGod Given graceのサビでの大盛り上がりには脱帽させられ、ギターソロがたまらない王道UKロックStill Watersも良し、聴き応えアリの１枚。 デジタル音楽なんて存在しなかった古き良き６０年代を回想させる美しい楽曲の数々。４０年以上経った今、多種多様な音楽があふれかえる現在において、彼らは奇をてらわなくてもグッドサウンド＆メロディーで人の心を動かすことができる、ということを証明してみせた。 Another quality band from Liverpool, the musical city from which The Beatles way back when, and the La's, in 90s are from. The Troubadours, the new band who toured the UK with Paul Weller and played at V-Festival 2008, made a successful Japanese debut at Summer Sonic 2008 where countless boy & girls’ hearts were stolen! Their first album is full of great trucks., ‘Gimme Love’ is nothing but a masterpiece. You will fall in love with the track within 10 seconds (amazing intro!) and it keeps the magic going all way through. Absolutely music to the ears – a pleasant melody and a beautiful sound like the autumn breeze. It is so catchy that you can’t help becoming addicted. ‘Superstitious’ can’t be missed either – the bloom of youth chorus is a work of cuteness which reminds you of The Beach Boys. ‘Con Edison’.- It is a dramatic track with a perfect combination of beautiful harmony, orchestra and sweet-bitter melody which will draw tears with it’s melancholy. There are also other great trucks including ‘God Given Grace’ which suddenly and fantastically becomes all catchy at the chorus part, and UK classic tune ‘Still Waters’ with a brilliant guitar solo. All of the songs are worth checking out. All the tracks from this album will bring you back to the good old 60s in which digital music didn’t exist – it’s been 40 years and all varieties of music are ubiquitous now. The Troubadours successfully prove that all you need to have to blow people away are two things – great sound and good melody!
